Anesthetic Management in the Patients with Myasthenia Gravis

Abstract

|
Myasthenia gravis is a chronic neuromuscular disease with the chief complaints of muscle weakness and generalized fatigue.
It is´ generally thought that myasthenia gravis is caused by an autoimmune response associated with thymus gland. Many difficult problem may be encountered in the anesthetic and the postoperative respiratory management.
The authors anesthelized 2case of myasthenia gravis for thymectomy with general anesthesia. We report the case with review of literature relevant to anesthetic management in patients with myasthenia gravis.
